The North Gwinnett Lacrosse Association (NGLA) is a community-run youth recreational lacrosse program serving boys and girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade in Gwinnett County, Georgia. We are the official youth lacrosse program for the North Gwinnett school cluster, proudly developing student-athletes from our local community.
Our Mission: To provide a safe, competitive, and supportive environment where young athletes can learn the fundamentals of lacrosse, develop their skills, and build lifelong friendships. We believe in the power of sports to teach discipline, teamwork, resilience, and character.
Our Values: We are committed to placing the athlete first, fostering a culture of respect and sportsmanship, providing excellent coaching and instruction, and building a vibrant community of families united by the sport of lacrosse.

Governance & Bylaws
501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status
The North Gwinnett Lacrosse Association is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable, accessible youth lacrosse programming to the North Gwinnett community. All revenue is reinvested directly into player experiences, coaching development, and equipment.
Board of Directors
NGLA is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of volunteer parents and community members. The board meets monthly to oversee strategic direction, financial management, program development, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Board positions are elected annually by the membership.
Core Operating Principles
- Athlete-First Philosophy: All decisions prioritize the safety, development, and enjoyment of our players.
- Inclusive Access: We strive to make lacrosse accessible to all youth regardless of economic background through financial assistance programs and sliding-scale fees.
- Volunteer Accountability: All coaches and volunteers are background-checked and certified in first aid/CPR. We maintain strict safeguarding policies.
- Transparent Operations: Financial records and policy documents are available to members. Annual meetings are held to review operations and gather community feedback.
- Community Partnership: We work closely with local schools, families, and other youth organizations to strengthen lacrosse in Gwinnett County.
Membership & Participation
Membership in NGLA is open to all youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade residing in Gwinnett County. Registration occurs through our online registration system (TeamSnap). Parents/guardians of registered players are considered members and are welcome to attend board meetings and participate in volunteer opportunities.
Code of Conduct
All players, parents, coaches, and volunteers are expected to uphold NGLA's Code of Conduct, which emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, and integrity. Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including removal from the program. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, and unsportsmanlike behavior.
Financial Transparency
NGLA fees are set annually by the Board of Directors to cover operational costs including coaching stipends, insurance, equipment, field rentals, and administrative expenses. No board member receives compensation. Detailed financial reports are provided to members upon request and reviewed annually by an independent accountant.
